Dear Internet, [06 Feb 2007|11:27pm]
[ mood | hopeful ]

i write to you today to proclaim a new stage of life. many times before i have been faced with challenges & new situations; this time shall be the same as the rest... i shall be victorious! HAhHahaha ::sorry it slipped:: i digress, during this time i will make myself a better person & hopefully isolation will allow me to have nothing to do but read; which i kinda look foward to. i know what i want & i know what i want to do, now i just have to do it... hopefully shit works out, if not... well i'll figure it out... i ususally do. i must say that the biggest problem right now is doing this 6pg paper... bleh. in about six months i will be saying 'peace out tallahassee' ...yikes. back to work i suppose and one more thing:

Dear World:

i will see you one day... even if i have to do it by myself.

ok that is all.

good night.

Fuk Me [22 Jan 2007|03:30am]
i hate wasting days/nights on the day that i can party because i have the next day off... i spend it all asleep on the couch... i'm such a fuking loser. to wake up to people doing it and completely wired but with nothing to do and no other life form that will communicate with me.

i need new friends if anyone is interested... people who share things in common with me and most of all like to and do go out.

work has ruined my day/life... and to make it even better i doubt anyone would want to do anything tomorrow either.

man why must i be stuck in a web of suck. i wish i could snap my fingers right now and be completely shit faced drunk so that i may pass the *bleep* out. i want the last line of my obliterated night to be "cheers to mixed signals!" and then i'd fall onto the bed where a glass of water would appear next to my night stand shortly after.

[ mood | confused ]

Dear LJ,

i need someone to talk to and yes you are it. i'm so confused about what to do right now with the rest of my life. i can be anywhere a year from now but unfortunately i have to make my mind up now. here are some choices:

grad school... somewhere or here
+further education
-the money and deadlines
-GRE

teach for america
+pay off loans
-don't know where they'll put you
+can try to establish residency in the state of grad school so that i can pay in-state fees after the 2 yrs of the program

if i take a year off i'm afraid i won't be able to get into grad school. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i'm not ready for this emotionally or financially... what do i do.

[ music | Siouxsie & the Banshees - Cities in Dust ]

woo-hoo i found a job! the only downside is that i don't start for 2 weeks... but i'll be a server at the one and only Cracker Barrel! mmmmmm the food there is sooooo good. and the fact that it's right next to all the hotels and the interstate means it's always busy so i'll be raking in the dough hopefully.

on another note, i think it's funny how my parents have no idea what's going on in my life. today i was talking to my dad and he was like, "wait you're graduating next year? already? hasn't it been only 3yrs? 'ummm no dad this will be my 5th,' oh well what are you graduating in?" lol and last year for my bday when he asked me how old i was turning and i told him 21 he thought i was kidding. oh my. being a first generationer is hard i have to tell you. there's also the time my mother denied me her information while i was trying to do my FAFSA because she swore she was going to have to pay the govt money. so instead i went in her purse one day and took it myself. she even argued with the CAP counselor about it. oh and when i was tellign my dad i got a job at the cracker barrel he was like (change the english to spanish):

-"what? taco bell?!"
-"no dad, crac-ker bar-rel"
-"what is that?"
-"a restaurant"
-"what kind of food to they have there? mexican, italian, american?"
-"american, like meatloaf and stuff"
-"oh ok."

so yea now i have to study my ass off for my test tomorrow and there's a book i had to have read by tomorrow too but i can't afford it and they don't have it in the library so i dunno what to do. i always feel like a faliure in that class. the fact that there's only 5 people and 3 of them are grad students has a lot to do with it too, you also can't get away with anything... grrrrr.

ok gotta run... hope everyone is doing well.

Just a Rant [17 May 2006|06:05pm]
[ music | annie - me plus one ]

haven't done this in a while but i'm upset and no one's answering their phones. so my mother isn't letting my sister come visit me anymore because she has to be at an eye appt the day after i leave (i'm not driving and have to be in class by tues). to top it off none of those cheap tiket sites will sell a tiket to a 13yr old traveling alone, so we'd have to go through each airline to compare prices and it's expensive too plus they fee you... so it'd be like $250 one way from JAX to MIA... wtf.

i'm just sick and tired of so much bullshit at home. on another note i think it's interesting how maureen has yet to return my phone call and how francis decided to get a new myspace and not add me. i know it's stupid online bullshit but in reality it's so much more... it's about the principle of things. but it's ok because i can play stupid too.

and with that said i don't think i'm going to go home anymore. first of all, i have no money and after next wedn i won't have a job cuz i haven't found another one yet and rent, utilities and my phone are due the week after [anyone know places hiring?]. and it's not like anyone down there ever makes the effort to come visit. i always have to go down there but not even for my bday would they do it. yet if i don't make it to theirs it's the end of the world. not to mention the fact that francis had forgotten my bday 2 years in a row, but the day i didn't visit her at the hospital because she got her tonsils out she didn't talk to me for days and i had to buy her ice cream to kiss her ass.

man i'm just so sick of it all. i'm starting to really hate miami every time i go down, i wish i wasn't there and instead back up here. it's wierd, it's changed so much but for the worse. ok i gotta my mind off of all this stuff. whatev.

My List of Hellos... [12 Apr 2006|10:31am]

[ music | Keep Bullfighting - Dog Day (best song ever) ]

so i've kinda been up since roughly 6:30am and i must say i'm proud of my productivity.

i've gotten some things quasi-done and it feels awesome.

i finished my handout and it looks pretty bad ass.

finally did my taxes, says i'm getting $146 back... hell it's better than nothing, or worse, having to pay!

made some breakfast, although that frying pan hates my fried eggs, it always breaks them into pieces... boo.

i've been noticing how much beatles inspiration goes into Of Montreal's music... i think they do a good job.

everyone in the house seems kinda cranky today... hmmm wierd.

got waaaaay runk last night... and i had the cutest girl in the bar by my side (lady in reeeeed...)lol yea. sorry if i forgot to say bye to anyone.

now i await class time: T-4hrs 57min

i really love my mon, tues and wedns.

i've been getting into some new music lately. some jazzy soloy type stuff and other very electronic stuff and then some stuff in between... good stuff.

maybe i'll draw for a little bit before my nap, i never really stop to do that kind of stuff... perhaps i should.

last thing, i need a new job... help! help a broke sistuh out.

on this note i depart.

good day to all.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It! [01 Apr 2006|10:19am]

[ music | Tahiti 80 - Heartbeat ]

Here are some things i've heard or read in the news today:

between 8 and 8:15am on FOX news [i was in a waiting room and that's what was on, i digress] the weatherman reported after his forcast that president bush signed a bill to push back daylight savings time to 3 weeks earlier than usual and the one in winter to push back a week.

MY THOUGHTS [M.T.]: wtf. um, who does he think he is? i wasn't aware that anyone could have the authority to change daylight savings... hell! can i change autumn to start on my birthday in sept? that'd be pretty fucking cool hu. so yea... there i was dumbfounded, wondering... #1: how did we get into this pickle anyways?... #2: is anyone going to really listen to him?... #3: why is the weatherman telling us this?

moving on...

some CNN stories:

Bird flu vaccine only partly effective
An experimental bird-flu vaccine for humans has been deemed safe, but it provides only partial protection from the H5N1 strain of the virus, according to a study published this week.

M.T.: the bird flu is going to be the next black death. wait for it...

Brainy kids' brains develop slowly
Very smart children, despite their reputation for being ahead of their peers mentally, actually lag behind other kids in development of the "thinking" part of the brain, a new study says.

M.T.: that's pretty neat.

Promising AIDS drugs tested
Scientists believe that a vaccine is the best way to stop the spread of AIDS, but efforts to invent one have flopped. Now they may have found something that seems to prevent infection.

M.T.: hey there is hope!

STORY OF THE DAY ACCORDING TO ME:
Study: Prayer has no recovery impact
Researchers found that having people pray for heart surgery patients had no effect on recovery. In fact, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a slightly higher rate of complications.

M.T.: are they ever going to learn?

so that's the news for now kids. if you want to read more about those stories just search for them on CNN.com

man i kinda like mornings now, they're so clear minded. i just wish they'd like me back... bleh. until next time!
